Great Spotted Woodpecker - Dendrocopos major

Quite an assortment of characters, from the Magpie - 'Pica pica' - to the Coal Tit -'Periparus ater'. The Starling chicks are fledging and coming in to visit which is proving to be a Sparrowhawk magnet ...

The Badgers of the lane have been very active this month, two young badgers have come out early most evenings followed by another two or three. Magical.
