Female Siskin - Carduelis spinus - feeding on the ground. A tree had fallen at the Reserve and was attracting a handful of Siskins to feed on the ground around the branches.

Siskin flock
Grey day and weary of the Kingfisher stake out so grabbed the V1 with the FT1, the 300mm with the 2x tc and a monopod. Nothing outstanding (or indeed super sharp - monopod to blame) but 1620mm is quite satisfying for small birds in a digiscoping kind of way. All from the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve.
