Female Siskin - Carduelis spinus - feeding on the ground. A tree had fallen at the Reserve and was attracting a handful of Siskins to feed on the ground around the branches.

Bullfinches everywhere.
Everywhere I went there were Bullfinches seen or heard, but does a Bullfinch ever sit out in the open ?
Having seen three foxes on Saturday morning I tried predict their locations on Sunday for a decent picture. It worked rather too
well as I got within 5 feet of a fox before either of us realised the other was there ... no picture of that fox.
